Caution: unregulated broker

Caution, scam broker

With the information we have so far, the comments and reviews of users and traders, our opinion is that it looks like a company we should be careful with.

Why? It is an unregulated broker, its base is located in a very unsafe country to invest (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines), when looking for information and other evaluations about Universal Markets we found a large number of negative reviews.

December 2020 update: CNMV, Spanish financial regulator, has reported Universal Markets for fraudulent activities.

March 2021 update: FCA, UK financial regulator, has reported Universal Markets for fraudulent activities.

These rascals are nothing more than thieves. I had a very bad experience with them, I would have liked to read these comments much earlier, before sending them money. Now it is impossible to remove it.

In just 2 months I have lost more than 9000 euros, they are a disaster, scam,

They have an advisor who calls himself Jorge Torres. This so-called professional makes you lose everything, leaves you stranded and doesn't call you. RECOMMENDATION: do not invest a single euro. They are born scammers.

  8. Martin Reply

    Hello good afternoon:
I would like information from Universal Markets.
I entered 225 € with a card the first time and an advisor of those who put, put me impossible positions, a certain Paolo Martinelli, total that the first positions that I put were positive, until the second day, I caught the bull and I almost lost everything. I gave it up for lost, but after 2 or three days another advisor called Diego de la Costa called me and told me that I can get my money back little by little, and that his partner had been fired from the company for losing enough money many customers. I told him that I did not put a single € more, and he told me to calm down, that he was not going to ask for more money than the only thing he wanted was for me to recover what was lost. that little by little he was recovering something. Total that the balance rose to € 90 and he tells me that a very good opportunity was coming to invest, due to the US elections and that if I invested € 500, I could earn € 1800 in about ten days and I could withdraw to my account. Total that I accepted and deposited by bank transfer. Of this that from one day to another I write to him, and he stopped answering me. Right now I have a balance of € 1800 and a capital of € 480, but I do not see an option of how to withdraw the money. No way to communicate with them.
    What I can do?

Hello Martín, the same thing happened to me. Well a little worse.
Paolo Martinelli was my advisor and he convinced me to put money in up to a total of 11.730 euros. And they had granted me a permanent credit of 10.000 euros that was also negative.
When I lost almost all that money, Diego de la Costa appeared saying that Paolo had been fired and that he was going to help me get my money back.
I wanted him to put in more money but by not doing so he was lingering to do something else to get the money back.
He had told me that there was a Universal Markets branch in Madrid at Calle Montalbán 13.
I went to see what they told me but there was no Universal Markets office there.
When I told him, he told me that it was in a flat and that they had no attention to the public.
It was when Diego told me that I could close the account without having to pay what I was losing in permanent credit.
I asked him for a document to confirm it and that was when he disappeared and I could never contact him again.
I contacted a lawyer who confirmed that it was a scam and the money could only be claimed judicially with the corresponding high economic cost and with very little possibility of recovering my money.
I have reported it to the National Police and they have confirmed that it is a scam and that it is almost impossible to get the money back as it is in tax havens.
      I hope they all die.
