Opinions and information about the AvaTrade forex broker
AvaTrade (or Ava Trade Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, Ava Capital Markets Ltd. in Ireland, Ava Capital Markets Pty in Australia and Ava Trade Japan KK in Japan) is a broker, formerly known by the name AvaFx, but since the year 2013 known as AvaTrade, it is definitely one of the largest and best known brokers on the market, with its headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, and with offices in cities such as New York, Tokyo, Milan, Sydney and Paris.
The company was founded in 2013 by Emanuel Kronitz and Negev Shekel Nosatzki and is one of the first brokers. If we look at the regulatory bodies, AvaTrade is regulated by various entities depending on the country where the trader is. In principle, as its headquarters are in Dublin, they are regulated by the Dublin Central Bank, and then it varies depending on which country one is in, for example, in Australia it is regulated by ASIC, in Japan by FSA and in the British Virgin Islands by BVI.
At AvaTrade there are more than 250 instruments available such as forex, stocks, CFDs, commodities and more. In fact, the name change of the company was due to the fact that the broker wanted to reflect with the name (which was formerly AvaFX) that it is not only possible to operate forex but many more instruments.
In 2010 the company acquired a Japanese forex broker called Art Co., and in 2015 AvaTrade tried to be acquired by Playtech, but the "deal" was blocked due to problems with Irish bank regulations.
A positive fact about this company is that it has a first-rate customer service, which is functional 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, and is available in Spanish. They have livechat and customer service by phone as well.
If you look at the broker's website, they offer various functionalities, resources and tools for the trader. Some of the tools are the economic calendar, market analysis, and above all it should be noted that they have an "education" section with resources such as videos, tutorials, definitions for beginners and webinars.
If we look at the account types that AvaTrade offers, we can see that the broker has four types of accounts. First, within AvaTrade it is divided into 3 types, Silver (with a minimum deposit of $ 100), Gold (with a minimum deposit of $ 1.000) and Platinum (with a minimum deposit of $ 10.000). These three types of accounts are for initial traders, or even with enough experience. Apart from these 3 types we have the AvaSelect account type where the minimum deposit is $ 100.000.
